About Lori A. Tanner, CPA (Retired)

Lori grew up in Morgantown West Virginia. After high school, moved to Tucson Arizona to attend the University of Arizona. Lori received a B.S. degree in Accounting and moved to Los Angeles to start work with Entertainment Business Management firms in 1983. Lori worked with writers, directors, actors and was fortunate to learn from some of the most successful film and television producers. Lori’s Financial Management work has been highlighted in publications such as Barron’s, Wall Street Journal, Los Angeles Times, USA Today and more. 

In August 2016 Lori bought the book option and movie rights to the C.E. Poverman novel Love by Drowning. In July 2017 Lori formed Dow Jazz Films. Filmed in Tucson AZ July - August 2017 and Portland Maine September 2017.

In February 2018 Lori became an Executive Producer and Dow Jazz Films became the presenting production company for the film Senior Love Triangle. Filmed in Los Angeles April - May 2018.

In August 2018 Lori bought the book option to the nonfiction autobiography Living Dangerously by Betty Farley.

In November 2018 Lori became an Executive Producer and Dow Jazz Films a production company for the film Dustwun. Filmed in Southern Arizona August 2018.

In April 2019 Lori became an Executive Producer and Dow Jazz Films the production company for the film Domino: Battle of the Bones. Filmed in Los Angeles June - July 2019.

Lori and Dow Jazz Films continue to look for new stories to adapt into Film and TV projects.
